Employment Agencies - Why Use Them, Why Not?

There are many different reasons that people rely on employment agencies to help them find work. There are also many different reasons that people tend to shy away from employment agencies, and understanding the difference between the two is what will make you better able to determine the best employment solutions for your needs.

Employment agencies do:

-help people find work when they can't do it on their own
-offer more employment options because some companies feel safer hiring through them
-offer more stability for employers and employees
-hire temporary positions rather than full-time employees in most cases

Employment agencies don't:

-pay much better than finding your own work
-offer as many full-time or guaranteed positions
-work with every industry that is available
-do all the work. You do have to show up and be professional.
-guarantee work
-hire for home-based companies in most cases

These are some basic things to keep in mind. In this economy, some people are more likely to use employment agencies, but not everyone will be so inclined. When there are truly no jobs out there, you aren't going to magically find work with employment agencies. However, if you take the time to give them all that you've got, they can help you when they are able.

If you are in need of work and you don't want to work with employment agencies, you should consider checking online for home-based jobs. If you're in between jobs and waiting for an employment agency to find you work, doing surveys and other odd jobs online can help create supplemental income for you and/or your family. There is a lot to think about when choosing whether to work with one of these agencies or not, but it's all a matter of what you personally want and need for your career.

Employment agencies can be an effective tool in your job search, but they're not necessarily right for everyone. Make sure that you take the time to consider your options, and if you want to find work online, understand that you are on your own. There are a few employment services and websites that will help with outsourcing online jobs, but the fees are often high and the jobs will be few and far between. Remember to do your research and be prepared to make decisive choices about what you want when it comes to your career. You are the only one who can determine what is best for you.
